response to the letter "a group of residents Palazzuolo via "su" Il Giornale ", 04/18/2010
Dear Director,
referring to the letter "a group of residents in via Palazzuolo" published in the Chronicle of Florence "Il Giornale" 18/04/10, may I say what follows. First of all, my name is Nicole and I am the President of the Welcome Committee Palazzuolo street, highlighted in the letter. At the last local elections I was elected Councillor Quarter 1 in the ranks of PD.
remain so amazed at the attention that the "group of residents dedicated to the alleged political alchemy of the Committee (made up later by people with different political orientations). Surprising given the role as the "mafia Bengali "(!?) in the area between the station and the Arno, perhaps this particular writer has 50 meters of Via del Moro, which recently have been killed two immigrants. As a center Palazzuolo significantly outweigh ethnic African and Latin American, and Borgo Ognissanti and via Montebello lungarno simply can not talk about the concentration of immigrants.
While renewing, whenever you need it, denunciation of the degradation of the area, we have learned to be wary of "alarm cries of" catastrophic and pessimistic just scare people (potential customers of the shops in difficulty, new residents or those who might want to invest in this central area) and we ask particular problems that we face as citizens. So expect a good city government and respect for legality. So we have reached important goals for us: a good night lighting, more street cleaning, rebuilding of road, overseeing the police, the cameras soon ... not to mention the determination not to resign as evidenced the organization of a pleasant market on a monthly Maso Finiguerra.
This is what I expect to correct the statements of the "group of residents" to whom else to express my solidarity with discomfort, I believe, sincere.
Thank you for your hospitality and the cordial greeting.
Nicola Benvenuti
