Restoration of the cloister of Leopoldine

Monday Matteo Renzi afternoon, the Mayor opened the cloister of the complex of Leopold restored after long work. In this way, another Florentine cloister, in front of the church of S. Maria Novella and Piazza recently restored with a speech, respectful of its history, has been returned to the city.

E 'was now complete the second of four lots budgeted for the recovery of all the ex Leopoldine, wholly owned by the city. The third unit will be recovered on the first floor and the fourth one of the remaining buildings that look onto Via Palazzuolo.

We look forward to this fourth batch, which will require a little 'time, because it will help to eliminate the gut feeling that today downgraded the beginning of Via Palazzuolo returning an appropriate framework for the valuable urban architectural complex of San Paolino and Vanchetoni convent. The recovery on this side of the facades of the former Leopoldine (and perhaps a rethinking of the ugly doors with bars of the Alinari Museum), will be a step important to bring the continuation of the former decumano the center of the fine city to which it belongs.

The Mayor stressed the desirability of making the transition from viable way to Piazza S. Palazzuolo Maria Novella, by integrating into the urban context, the cloister, formerly also referred to as public space for art exhibitions, and making it usable by the population and visitors to the city. Let's word this intention by agreeing a work so important to remain open to citizens even if it can be assessed for cooperation with private entities for its management and salvaguadia.

Does Signing A Power Of

NEW CAMERAS IN PALAZZUOLO

Good news:

Florence, December 12 - (Adnkronos) - It expands the network of cameras for video surveillance, in Florence. The Interior Ministry gave the green light to funding , as required by the municipality, for the ' installation of additional equipment in the area of \u200b\u200b via Palazzuolo and the San Bartolo Cintoia. The choice of locations for new cameras is not 'random, on the contrary comes on the basis of visits by residents especially encouraged but that, in particular because Palazzuolo, saw the participation of police and carabinieri. We met more'''times the representatives of the residents - said the Councillor for Mobility' and decorum Massimo Mattei - and I'm glad it's now possible to realize these projects thanks to the convergence of purpose between the City Council and the Ministry of 'Inside.'' From the practical point of view on a Palazzuolo [???] will install five new aircraft to cover areas not already monitored by the cameras of the police officers' active area [???]. As far as San Bartolo, the devices will be two to one on the main route of the old town and the other in the parking lot accessible via Simone Martini. The projects, developed by Citta 'Safe and technical services of the Community, including the use of municipal fiber optic network for data transport (with possibility' of high resolution and high number of images per second) and the use of cameras that allow law enforcement officials, who manage the surveillance by the operations center, to follow and zoom in on the target. The funding allocated by the Ministry amounted to € 150,000.
