Sideeffects Of Quadriderm

New Year in Monte Todisca

Usually in this blog I like to tell the excursions to places where I go for the first time, this time as I want to tell my friends and I have to pedal wanted to conclude in 2008.

Today at 12:00 we met at the starting point to go round Todisca, of this route I mentioned some time ago.

Unlike then, we are equipped to lunch and to celebrate, so we loaded sandwiches, cake and champagne in my backpack and we started the long climb that separated us from the highest point of the course where we will eat and drink .

The climb, given my lack of recent activity, was not just a piece of cake, but we did not hurry and after a couple of hours, finally we arrived at the lookout point where I remind you, you can admire one of the most beautiful landscapes in the area. Once delivered at an altitude of 650 meters, we finally ate the sandwich deserved, joking, take photos and even a few small movie. Now with these four guys I find really good, each bar is a cause for laughter and fun and I'm glad I did this the last day of the year out right with them.

Just finished the excellent toast with sparkling wine cheaply, we prepare ourselves to face the long descent will bring us back to the starting point. Beautiful down with the bottom made compact by the recent rains, yet breathtaking views and my mind runs in a final in 2008. This year I rode for about 4000 km, trying to see many places as possible and always in good company, I participated in a Marathon and I also participated in the Sicilian Coast2Coast. As a walker I think I have done even more than I expected.

But if I have to be honest, the most positive aspect of 2008 for the bike was the number of friends that I am done with this sport. Were many, and all smart people and sensitive to the environment and society. I hope that 2009 let me know as many friends as I do this and hope to all you readers.

Pain In Between Pointer Finger And Thumb

Cerda

On Sunday she returned to force the time of day, which for us cyclists means fewer hours of daylight after work available. Then in the next few months me and my friends are waiting for quick trips around the place where we work, so make the most of natural light. In fact, we are also gearing up to go out in the dark, but I will talk about this later.
Today we figured we could ride for a couple of hours and we decided to go for the campaigns that lie between Villaurea and Cerda then enjoy a down-bottom that we like so much dirt that falls to the Fiumetorto Cerda. Then we played with the numerous puddles that are in the street at the edge of the river with the foregone conclusion of turning our dirty clothes in colorful outfits Mono.

At the end of this street you can find the "pile-lined," I had spoken here six months ago, pity about the fact that it was almost dark and the photo that I took is not coming so much, but try to look the same to see how the tree grew. I'm glad it's still there and therefore has not yet been removed, I hope if one day be forced to decide between the pole and the tree, they should opt in favor of the tree.

How to add a photo of my usual route and its altitude, this tour is very easy, dare I say it's a nice walk. They attached the track so that you can open with Google Earth so you can see well if you want to walk the path.

Does Listerine Cause Discoloration Of Teeth

Ficuzza - Tracing the GranFondo

next Sunday in wonderful forest Ficuzza will host the 4th edition of the Marathon dall'Eleuterio to cone Busambra , with my usual mates have decided to participate as walkers, we really like the idea because we think we find much people passionate about mtb and a car organizer that will surely prepare the excellent services for athletes.

consequence of this today and I Ciccio we joined a large group of bikers had to prove that the path, we went to Marineo and we have appended to them in a beautiful day sun made this really pleasant. I must say that I had never penetrated the forest trails of Ficuzza , I had always crossed by car on paved roads, has been a very positive experience, I thought that the path had to be very difficult, but apart from some small part I think it is affordable for all walkers.

We covered about 42km, the time it was getting late so we cut it a bit ', not much, there were only 6 km to the appeal. All the beauty that the forest offered including the views I flew in front of my eyes and kept me from stopping each time to take some pictures for non- too slow down the group, but I promised myself to attend this very place in the future, it's worth, it's really a natural oasis in the heart of Sicily.

The test location was fine, then next Sunday I and three other companions, we hope to be at the starting line of the race (like hiking). It 's the first time I do something similar, so we hope that we like to be an incentive to participate in future events organized in other areas of great interest. We'll see.

Today I followed a trail gps provided by Mr . Glandiatore this post . Until next time .. bye

Quickbooks 2009 License And Product Num

Collesano - Scilla - River Himera

Today's was a trip through the countryside of madonie low. In particular, I met an idea in my mind for a while, ie Himera along the river (and then the A19) from Scilla to the mouth, which is located near the archaeological sites of Himera. To achieve Scillato instead I decided to go to Collesano, then head real Borgo Eras (altitude 600), and from there begin to descend toward the river through the countryside.

Since none of the group knew the area, I organized the night before, I marked the location on a map of the place, so I found the coordinates of the crossroads where we could lose and then I created the waypoints on my GPS which I pointed in the right direction. Let's say it went well, although some doubts that I had lost I had come.

Today was the second exit to the whole group has done since the summer. Last week we launched the start of "Season 9.8" with a nice ice cream Collesano. As the ice cream was good, today we have replicated the inauguration rigustandoci another ice cream. Collesano we have now reached by taking the usual road that we call "The road of building blocks, has been named so only because there is a brick factory. From Collesano we headed towards the main road asphalt Scillato for a few miles, then we went down to the river, via paved roads and dirt. Arrived at the river we finally arrived at the beginning of this long dirt road (15 km) of gently sloping, it must be pedaling along the river and the highway. Let's say the whim me, I get off, but eventually was presenting a little boring as the road, maybe it's more interesting walks uphill. We will see some other time.

Unfortunately now we approach the autumn and the days getting shorter, the same hope of being able to organize some output at the highest Madonie before it is too late.

path classifies it as easy as regards total ascent and technique, but care must be taken to the total distance that is abundant, considering also that it is necessary to ride downhill. Then evaluate your training if you want to replicate the same path.

Purple Skin On Inner Thigh

Coast2Coast Edition One

few days ago I was on vacation. You'd think I was at sea sparapanchiato the sun, or in some fresh mountain resort to relax, none of this, I attended the Coast2Coast Sicily.

This is a non-competitive event which starts from San Leone (Agrigento beach) reaches Mondello (beach of Palermo), crossing the Sicilian hinterland. This year there was the "one edition" which was attended by some forty bikers, including myself, eager to do something to remember and hard to tell friends linked by the same passion.

Everything was organized dall'ASD Ssst , a club of Agrigento which literally "loves" the tireless mountain bike and take every effort to promote it in Sicily, I personally appreciated the commitment that these people put in their activities, but who really moved me with his great passion was Franco, aka Uncle Crazy. I do not think off anything to anyone if I say that Coast2Coast is his creature, and it shows also how the spoils and protecting, not stopped at nothing and nobody. We were taken to St. Leo's hand and led us all to Mondello.

Now I tell my my C2C. For some time I had heard the previous edition and found it very interesting, I wanted to do something like it too, but I was very hesitant, I was convinced that I would not be fit enough to participate. One day while he climbed a mountain with Giò there was the turning point, at my request if he had participated in this year I responded positively, so I asked for his opinion if I would be able Gio and I said, 'c' You can do it. " At that moment I decided to participate.

Building on the involvement of my power, my friend also reclutai Nino, so all three of us began to settle the bike, the need to procure and train a little 'waiting for the day of departure. The small group has added Michele (aka Muhl), which had participated the previous edition has advised us for the best from his experience.

The first day we start early, at eight o'clock you must be running, so we decide to leave the night before and sleep in a tent in San Leone. We arrive in time to eat pizza with Franco (the organizer) and other participants also came to them the night before.

Finally we leave, all complete with bike and cleaned before the handlebars placed a beautiful plaque that identifies us with the text name and city of origin, a small briefing, the usual photo and away towards the valley of the temples. Start your trip to Palermo.

almost immediately we meet with one of the biggest problems that will accompany us until the end, very hot weather. We also touched the 45 degrees, it was really hot especially in the middle of the day. During the first stage we also had the opportunity to visit the reserve of Macalube of Aragon, very interesting.

Another feature of this "tour" that I have made account even now, was the almost total lack of plains. Climbs and descents in continuous succession, at the end we have accumulated almost 5000 meters of ascent. A word that I echo all the way was "brow." Whenever asked about the destination, someone raised his finger up to indicate one of the many mountains over the pass, saying that it was necessary there.

We passed through valleys, lakes and interesting countries, some have shown their hospitality. Sant'Angelo Muxaro offered us lunch and a bar in Santa Cristina Gela instead offered us the delicious cannoli. We also crossed Palazzo Adriano with its beautiful square, remember where it was shot on film "Cinema Paradiso" by Tornatore.

normally the evening I was exhausted, but happy to have cycled and reached the goal. Two nights we had dinner and slept in hotels, one near Santo Stefano di Quisquina located 900 meters above sea level and another in the woods Ficuzza always around that level. One evening we instead placed in a visitors center provided by the Forest Service. It 'was my favorite night, I washed in a pond fed by a spring, we had dinner with local produce and bratwurst, and then I slept in tents under a starry sky that only the Valley Sosio could offer.

I also really enjoyed the curiosity which sprang our passage to the people we met, wanted to know where we came from, where we went, and sometimes even asked me why. It 'was the most difficult question, I do not know the answer, but one thing I know, I would like to redo.

I met many people and I've been with them four days, somehow or other topics of conversation were always the same, hiking and mountain bike races. I have not heard a lot of wives, children, occupation or hobby, I've only heard stories of companies discussed or planned bike trip and now imagine doing it myself. Some of them I envied someone else, I hated the places visited (and I will not) and others I tried just a great sympathy.

Absolutely the most beautiful stage was the fourth or the last. We walked 92 km, floating around 800 meters and then nosedive toward the final goal.

We left early from the forest Ficuzza (hunting lodge of King Ferdinand) where we had spent the night heading towards the lake of Piana, we then headed Portella della Ginestra, sad place famous for the massacre carried out by the bandit Giuliano. Here we took a dirt road that led us to the country of Giacalone, there I am talking about because in my opinion was the most panoramic point of the whole trip. This is the Jato valley, I was impressed, so I decided to be a destination for future trips.

Soon after the descent, we came to Poplar where he started the climb again towards the forest Casaboli, again stunning views towards the Golden basin, the cradle where lies Palermo and its suburbs , we arrive at the top and descend towards San Martino delle Scale, a place where "eventually" we stop for lunch.

had finished eating we prepare for the final rush, when I was in the area I make two calculations and realized that I expect another two climbs, the ascent to Mount Cucco and the ascent to Mount Manolfo. Despite the fatigue of 60 km existing routes, I was eager to leave, already felt the thrill of arrival, I thought the friends who were waiting for us, believe me, the fatigue was gone.

At the top of Monte Manolfo Nino who knows the place he says: "take your feet off the pedals, and now all downhill to Mondello." At that moment I half-closed eyes for a moment and thought: "Bravo Peppino, you made a little dream." The rest is just excitement, hugs and tears at the beach of Palermo.

In this post I do not add or GPS tracks or altitudes. The first because I feel useless, if you want to travel the same route you should not do it alone, but by participating in the next edition of Coast2Coast, the latter is better because you know what awaits you.

Bye ..

Cruisin Places In Miami

Todisca

was a bit 'of time not updating this blog, the reasons were different, and most outside theme for this blog and then I will not reveal them. Instead of a many reasons, it was also continuing to go out I have no bike path routes which had not already said. Besides, the period is not the best to make exploration, the companions are on holiday at the sea, there is hot and just tend to follow well-known tracks and paths.

Even today, with Joseph, we decided to take a ride "moderately successful", but here I have never spoken. The route is a ring (my favorites), medium difficulty, only some aspects with high slope is uphill and downhill, but nothing that can not be overcome by pushing the bike.

We started from Casteldaccia then we walked a bit of SS113 in the direction of Altavilla Milicia, immediately after the long bridge over the river, we turned right to join the mother church of Altavilla following the path of pilgrims. From here you have to get quiet, and ride through the town along the only road straight ahead and upward until it becomes flat (after about 8 km), here you turn right to the entrance of the equipped Todisca (see photo below), this stretch is very steep, but fortunately is not very long.

Take care while climbing turn around to look behind, the landscape is among the most evocative of the area. Now we have to overcome the small gate for access to State forest, walk down the only dirt road, you can not miss and, after a couple of ups and downs you come to a stone balcony that looks towards the sea. No matter how you reach this vantage point, go there on a mountainbike, go there on foot or on horseback with a friend, but go there, I think from here you can see the most beautiful landscapes in the area.

After viewing point, continue the road until you reach a clearing where there is a gate on the left, it is easy to see that you're in the right place because you have in front of a small and young trees, however, immediately after the gate to the landscape will the inland and not towards the sea, one can easily see even Busambra Rocca. Here is a part of the descent a bit 'rough, but with a little' technique is easily exceeded, then the road becomes flat and takes you to the foot of the Lion's cave. From here you just have to go Casteldaccia on asphalt, there would be variations, but we'll talk another time.

A very long path with a moderate drop, but nice for the landscape changes, me and Joseph we had and we hope to repeat at other times. Until next time .. bye
