Almost three months since I write in this blog, and also and also the the first post of 2009. The reason is simple three winter months in the past few rides I've done and all around my house, in places which I have already spoken.
In the last two weeks, instead I was asked by a friend of mine to be accompanied in a line of exploration. These surveys in order to define the path of the next Coast 2 Coast , an event very dear to me, so I take gps and coffee and join him. 
We explored for two days, the first day we started from Giacalone (PA ), we climbed to the summit of Mount Lady summit between Partinico and S. Giuseppe Jato , we went to Lake Poma, and then we went through campaigns to the foot of Trapani Segesta . The two photos above shows the beautiful views that it was possible to admire Ms. Monte. A Segesta, having already traveled more than 50 km. we decide to go back to Giacalone asphalt road, from Alcamo, Partinico , Borgetto bridge and climb to Sagana . Total nearly 90 km, climb and so much sweat. 
The second day we continue the exploration Segesta to go up to Castellammare del Golfo climbing from Monte Inici . With us there were also two other friends Toto and Joachim, then filled with four stores and drink we venture to climb to 1000 meters. 
I knew that the seats are nice, I wonder how many times I went by car in those areas, but what I have seen my eyes is on the way up during the descent was far from my expectations. Maybe the pictures I posted will not be able to describe the emotions we felt up there, and in this case I have prepared a gps track I urge you to use to go to this paradise. 
breathtaking views, this was the main topic during the climb we faced inward Sicily, too bad for a light mist, but we could still make out the peaks and the main lakes of the province of Trapani, Palermo and Agrigento perhaps. At the top we find ourselves immersed in a forest of oak and oaks, which of course in this period are bare of leaves. 
But the feelings were strong during the descent from the summit we pass on the slope overlooking the sea of \u200b\u200bCastellammare. It 's a slope overlooking almost a thousand meters to reach the sea level. The road slides down hairpin bend, I urge everyone to stop them, because sometimes by just a few steps you can enjoy unique views not to be missed. 
reach the end at the foot of the mountain, just above Castellammare we stopped to eat yet another sandwich to prepare to return to the machines, which (alas) are at Segesta . Tired, but happy too so we finish exploring , which allowed us to lay the foundations for a great next step in the Coast 2 Coast . I thank my friends Mario, Gioacchino Toto and for sharing with me many emotions given away by bike .
