Today I attended a rally organized by Domenico which took place almost entirely within the forest S. George in the park Madonie. It 'was very nice, we were ten and all with a great desire to have fun. Actually after a while 'that we started from the time of Lascari Gratteri we have become the "band of the hole." I had never seen so many holes all in one day, we thought it was the fault of 'evil influence of one of us, so we ran for cover, looking to buy a talisman (red horn) that could protect us, but the wheels continued to deflate imperterritamente. Luckily the tide of drilling was stopped before they finished the spare rooms so we could enjoy this beautiful morning surrounded by nature.
We have gathered all in Lascari where greeted and chatted after having just five minutes we got on our bikes to reach Gratteri, we did not use the road, but we arrived in town by a dirt road. The climb was challenging, but certainly not prohibitive, because it was all in style then hiking ... 
The next stop was a visit to the ruins of the abbey of St. George, we went to reach for a single track, the first of a long series that has given us our guide today. We stopped a bit 'to browse among the ruins while Dominic told us several local legends related to the monks who once lived in this abbey.
It was after a succession of climbs and descents on dirt roads and trails all through the woods, some were clean and easy to ride, others a little 'less, even in one case because of a landslide We struggled a bit 'to proceed, but the mountain bikers as we would not return "never" back. :-)
We met several sources of spring water, which makes this journey even more interesting, because it does not need to carry around a lot of reserves. We got out of the woods near Collesano and we have continued almost all downhill (which Goduria) to Lascari. Also in this section there were a lot of fun off-road.
My final assessment of this meeting is very positive and I hope that in future I will be able to participate with others in this group, which clearly felt the spirit of hiking trails and a passion for mountain biking and nature.
